Practice makes perfect..

I came across Barbara Baig's book titled How to be a Writer.
All of a sudden I have calmed down. I am appreciating the writing journey.
Now I know that I can learn to be a writer regardless of doubt or other mental obstructions.
This instructional book focuses on lessons to awaken your imagination, observation and addresses voice as well as so many other invaluable tips.
The day began a little blah but now I have found a new sense of purpose and writing confidence. I hope I can make it translate to my NaNo experience. However, it is the journey that entices me.
Happy writing to all NaNoWriMO writers out there!!

50.000 steps or 50.000 words..

Okay, so I gave in. I started writing today and entered NaNoWrMo.
Three hundred words so far..yesssiree.
I bought a pedometer and am walking my little cherub/grandson around the tract.
Ten thousand steps so far in two days. At this rate I reach New York City in three years.
Why the contests..walking and writing?
I do not know. I feel better when I walk and it get easier each time.
I feel my muse taking over when I write.
So merging the mental and the physical may not be a bad thing.
We will see at the end of November.
